We’ve been tucked in a quiet corner of Davie since 2013, slinging bánh mì the way Mom always made them — with house-baked baguettes, grilled meats, and no shortcuts. She’s the heart of this place and our kids.
We bake our bread fresh every morning at 545 degrees — her magic number — to get that perfect crackly outside and soft inside. It’s the kind of food we grew up on, and we still go back to Vietnam pretty often to keep things close to our roots.
545° Bánh Mì Café started because we just missed real bánh mì. We wanted our kids to taste what we grew up with — and along the way, we found a little family in this neighborhood too. It’s not fancy, it’s not modern. It’s just us. And it’s just right.
It starts with a crusty French-style baguette—baked in-house at 545° for the perfect crunch. Layered with pickled veggies, grilled meats, creamy pâté, and herbs, it’s the Vietnamese sandwich we grew up on and still crave every day.
Bánh mì came from a blend of Vietnamese ingenuity and French colonial influence, and it’s become a go-to bite around the world. For us, it’s comfort food. The kind you grab on the go, or sit down with to remember home.
Our sugarcane isn’t just fresh—it’s family-grown. Our longtime friends at Mía & More own their own sugarcane farm in Vietnam, where they grow specifically for juicing—not mass-produced processed sugars.
No syrups, no added sugars. Just cold-pressed, naturally sweet juice made from canes grown to be sipped, not refined. Their custom-built, hand-patented machines are made with love (and obsession) for doing it right—preserving flavor and tradition in every cup.
It’s a farm-to-cup labor of love we’re proud to serve.
